According to Food Regulation 1985 and Standard for Use, according to Use Categories, Sodium metabisulphite is a permitted preservative that is used in coconut juice drinks in Malaysia and Japan with a dosage level of a maximum of 140mg/kg and 0.15g/kg respectively.
