Question

What is the minimum level of Omega 3 required in order for us to declare on label?

ANSWER

According to Malaysia Guide to Nutrition Labelling and Claims, there are no specific regulations on the minimum amount of Omega 3 in order for it to be declared on the label. However, if a declaration is made of the amount  or type of fatty acids in a product, the amount of all the four main types of fatty acids, namely saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and trans fatty acids shall be declared.
