What is the permissible dosage level of DMG and PGMS for shortening and cake application?

ANSWER

According to Food Regulations 1985, E471 Distilled Glycerin Monostearate (DMG) and E477 Propylene Glycol Monostearate (PGMS) may be used in shortening and flour confection including pastry, cake and biscuit, limited by GMP.
