According to A Handbook on Nutrition Labelling (Singapore), the guidelines for low/reduced carbohydrate content claims are as shown in Table 1 below.

  • ≤ 10 g carbohydrate per 100 g, or
  • ≤ 2 g carbohydrate per serving
Reduced Carbohydrates
Carbohydrate-Reduced
  • ≥ 25% less carbohydrates than the referenced food*

* A statement must be included to compare the carbohydrate content of the subject food to the referenced food.
