According to National Food Safety Standard – Standard for Uses of Food Additives (GB2760-2014), sulfur dioxide, potassium metabisulphite, sodium metabisulphite, sodium sulfite, sodium hydrogen sulfite, sodium hyposulfite can be used in chocolate & chocolate products. A maximum allowable limit of 0.1% is measured as the residue level of sulphur dioxide.
