Is Sodium Metabisulphite a permitted food additive in coconut juice drink in Malaysia and Japan? If yes, what are the permitted dosage in coconut juice application?


According to Food Regulation 1985 and Standard for Use, according to Use Categories, Sodium metabisulphite is a permitted preservative that is used in coconut juice drinks in Malaysia and Japan with a dosage level of a maximum of 140mg/kg and 0.15g/kg respectively.
