ANSWER

According to Food and Drug Regulations, Mono- and di-glycerides of fatty acid (E471) is permitted to use in unstandardized food* limited by Good Manufacturing Practice.

*“Unstandardized food” means any food for which a standard is not prescribed in any part of these Regulations.
