BERANANG, SELANGOR – DPO International marked a significant milestone in its e-commerce expansion with the official opening of its new e-Fulfilment Centre in Beranang, Selangor. Held under the theme “Future Ready“, the ceremony was graced by His Excellency Mr Peter Huyghebaert, Ambassador of Belgium to Malaysia, and attended by Ms Andrea Kubista, Commercial Counsellor of the Austrian Embassy and Head of ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Kuala Lumpur, alongside business partners, clients and DPO team members.
With over 70,000 sq ft of built-up space on a site spanning nearly 100,000 sq ft, the new facility primarily supports DPO’s Consumer Division’s e-fulfilment operations, while also serving its Industry and Foodservice divisions.
The opening marks another chapter in DPO’s rapid operational expansion, having grown from an initial 10,000 sq ft facility to 30,000 sq ft just two years ago, and now to a substantially larger facility to accommodate increasing business demands.
Strengthening Capabilities for Always-On E-Commerce
As e-commerce continues to evolve, businesses face growing pressure to manage fluctuating order volumes, maintain service consistency and fulfil customer expectations around the clock.
DPO’s Consumer Division addresses these challenges through integrated e-commerce and e-fulfilment solutions, encompassing marketplace management, customer service, campaign preparation, warehousing, order processing and fulfilment.
Operating 24/7, the expanded facility strengthens DPO’s capacity to manage growing order volumes while supporting its partners through major online sales campaigns and periods of peak demand. Its operational capabilities also include value-added services such as customised kitting and promotional order preparation, helping brands manage complex fulfilment requirements more efficiently.
Building Capacity Through Collaboration
During his opening address, DPO International Group Chief Executive Officer Daniel Pans reflected on the company’s expansion journey and the operational challenges involved in relocating an e-fulfilment business that operates around the clock.
“E-commerce never stops, and neither can our operations. Moving into a larger facility while ensuring that our partners’ businesses continue running smoothly has been a tremendous undertaking for our teams. We are grateful for the trust our partners have placed in us, and we look forward to working even more closely together,” said Pans.
He also acknowledged the dedication of the teams involved in managing the transition while maintaining business continuity throughout the relocation.
Beyond infrastructure expansion, DPO continues to focus on strengthening its e-commerce expertise to help partners navigate an increasingly competitive digital marketplace.
During the event, Mr Cheng Kok Wai, Group Regional Manager, CSM/Marketplace, presented “E-Commerce Futuristic Moves”, sharing insights on optimising online sales performance through offensive and defensive strategies, as well as the use of AI to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Future Ready for Continued Growth
The event culminated in an official launch ceremony, followed by a guided warehouse tour that offered guests a firsthand look at the new facility and its operational capabilities.
With its expanded infrastructure, round-the-clock operations and integrated e-commerce expertise, DPO International continues to strengthen its position as a full-suite market enabler, supporting business partners in scaling their operations and preparing for future growth.
