The Halal Affairs Department of the Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT) hosted a seminar in May 2023 on the Halal requirements and announced the recognition of 134 foreign Halal certification bodies. As per the Halal certificate requirement, any raw materials, ingredients, or food additives (that are not considered risky) must have a Halal certificate from organizations listed below, which are recognised by the CICOT.
